Unbelievably I was reading your message and saw your email address just as I hit accept of your friend request only to have the message disappear and I can't find it anywhere.  Would love to have you clerk this year at the festival.  I'll find your email address in some of the stuff Merril passed along to me and get with you.  I'm such a goob sometimes.

Rhonda, while you didn't win any ribbons, you sold either 3 or 4 of your gourds today.  You were a very popular artist.  Congrats on the sales.

Rhonda, so beautiful.  Could you explain about using glue and sand ?  Or is there a tutorial or book giving this method?  Thanks for the beautiful and awesome basket making.

Thanks for the positive comment.  I would love to give lessons and already have a waiting list.  Just can't figure out how to do it!  Many steps in so short a time.  Any ideas out there?

The 6 whatever didn't hold the es did.  the show was a bust!  Too many other competing things I guess.  The woman next to me did the most amazing quilt things.  Her jackets were works of art @$75.  she sold nothing!

Hi Rhonda no I'm not a grower of gourds it is alittle difficult as I am travelling around Australia and have for the past 3 years. So no room for Gourds I work from my annex. I purchase my gourds from THE GOURDFATHER who can ship them anywhere in Australia. I have my mum growing some for me as she has a big property. I have a few to work on until I return home I will check out some other sources then.

Thankyou Rhonda any info is good for a newy like myself. I'm heading back home in Dec that is Western Australia so I am hopeful in telling anyone who will listern to the joy of Gourd Art. I'm sure their will be someone who would like a challenge in trying something a little different and excited as I was with my first Gourd. I will let you know how I go. We are just leaving a little country town which we have been living in for 6 months and with my Gourds I have meet some beautiful people with selling them at the local market, it is a beginning so I will see where it takes me :)

Rhonda,

Thanks for your comments on my work.  I just now saw your works on your page. Wow,  you are a terrific and talented artist.  Where do you exhibit and/or sell your work? ( My wife and I lived in Topeka as high school students many years ago.)

Hi Rhonda love your gourd art work, how long have you been Gourding? I find it is hard for me here in Australia as there is no one to teach me, so I have my books to help. As I am new to having anyone who actually knows what a Gourd is let alone giving comments I am truely greatful for any comments which I relise I am not alone in Gourd art work .Thank you
