Hi Debbie,

The gourds is for sale but I haven't given any thought as to how much I want for it.  The piece is about 21 inches wide from butterfly to butterfly and about 13 inches high.  I'm glad you liked it.

Hi Debbie! yes, Love the old world feel to this piece. I modeled it after the winged horses of Tarquina, Italy. (4th Century BC) My tribute to them. I wanted an Italiano piece for my house. Took about 3-4 weeks to do this project, but I worked on it from beginning to end without another piece in the middle. More in the works.......

Debbie,  haven't had time to post, as yet.  I'm leaving town Sunday and hope to get it done before I go.  I'm in the middle of building a new website for the Texas Gourd Society and that needs to be done, too, before I go.  And, a lot of retired people say they don't have anything to do?  LOL  And, if you have wondered why KACC hasn't updated their sale page, (haven't looked this morning) they had a virus hit their website.  Should be fixed anytime.

Hi Debbie. I can't believe a whole year has gone by. Are you going to vendor at Washington?  It looks like we won't be able to make it this year. I thought it was a great show for a first timer show. We are going to do our local art walk at Birds & Beasleys. Do you have any gourds in there? She carries natural art, and if you do birds, your art will fit right in, even your wood.  Here is wishing you well, and Everyone is in good health, and all of your animals too!!   hugzz..   Judi

Hi Debbie,  I've been working on small pieces that are woodburned and colored with colored pencils.  It gives me lower priced pieces to take to Wuertz Festival.  I sold several last year that had lizards on them.  I have more lizards, some butterflies etc.  I enjoy them and it is such a cleaner way to go.  Of course, carving is still my favorite thing to do.  I'm also working on another piece to enter in the competition.

Hi Debbie, the red tailed hawk is an older piece but thought the gourders would enjoy seeing it.

Hi Debbie, It is a commissioned piece. It's for a gal whose niece lives in the woods in Maine and has a black bear that hangs around. I too hope some day that we can meet. Phyllis
