Just musings of a gourder

there are good gourding days, a few not so good and then the very worst day ever.......so far.

I've been fighting a sinus' infection for months. What does this have to do with gourding? Everything. I can protect my sinus', that's not the problem. I discovered and plan to live by something I recently learned the hard way. If you have to push yourself to work on a gourd and you're not feeling well at all.......DON'T!

I had a penguin gourd that was so far from perfect, I had to…

close to throwing this laptop across the room

I only wish ya'll could know how wonderful I think all the work I've been looking at, is.

So little pc, think you might post this???????   going to try now, so get it together!

there's a first time for everything

After all these years of making and selling my gourd art, I finally got to participate in a gourd festival and had such a ball. I know that these things are old hat to many, but it was my first time and very exciting. I've been such a hermit for over 2 years that it felt good to do something really different.

I know the Celebration of Gourds in Albuquerque, NM was not as big as some, but it has the potential to be,…

Trying to decide about this new gourd

I am trying to decide on the name. I was going for "Still and Stormy Waters", but my daughter says it looks like a sea shell. Well at least I got the idea of water across.....LOL. Last night I almost ripped all the nuggets and stones off of it and redesigned around the… Continue

Getting ready

Getting ready to start working again. Have the Christmas boxes out of my workroom, my shopvac set up, cleaned up the tornado that attacked that room...LOL....that would be me.

I have a dipper gourd with a really long "handle"........I grew this one and have had it for some time now. I STILL can't decide what to do with it. I traded most of my dipper gourds because I prefer the thicker ones to work on. Maybe I will do something really different for me, maybe not. I keep looking at it and… Continue

Sold a gourd today

Today I sold the gourd I call "Nature". It's one of my favorites. It's so encouraging when I sell a gourd, not to mention very helpful.

After doing things the hard way for so long, I have aquired tools I wanted so bad for quite some time. It's such a pleasure to work with tools that make hard work, so much easier.

I can't say how grateful I am to Bonnie for starting this. I have never blogged before and look forward to blogging and sharing more and more with others who are just… Continue
