"So it isn't a problem to attach AS to an already finished gourd then, right? I haven't cracked open my AS yet as I just received it and have never worked with it.  "

"Debbie, I've had to "repair' a bit too. If the piece still fits, I use super glue. If I make a new piece it just adheres as good as before the finish. I thing AS will cement itself to anything. If not, super glue it ."

Dragon Sound Block

This is a tutorial I made up for a group of 4-Hers recently. It's suitable for groups of kids with no real gourding equipment, just tools that can be found around a normal garage. You could also try your hand at this one with better gourding tools, carvers, skills, etc. It's a little shy on complete instructions but is meant for a gourder teaching a group of children.…See More

"I haven't used QuikWood in molds but Liz Drake has. She sells both. You can use almost any kind of mold release though. I wouldn't use powder because it might contain silicone and may make it difficult later for applying finish materials.…"

Supplier News - Hobby Lobby

Starting Monday(?) Hobby Lobby is opening their on-line store for those of you without one in your area. They used to sell some items thru a second party on-line store but have launched their own now. I have a Hobby Lobby (and a Michaels) right across the river but can use their on-line store for reference. Can't wait to check it out, but I can see this costing me a lot of money....

Hi Bonnie, thank you so much for your reply about the Huichol technique. I did find the article about it and your recipe on Bonnie's newsletter: thank you very much ! I enjoy beading, so I'm going to give a try on this technique. ♥

Ah, I have done some research (once I got the spelling correct) and am impressed with these pens. I don't care for brush tip pens, tho I do have some old Pitt's. I may have to try one. Thanks for the help, you always have such clear descriptions of things, it really makes a difference! Regards, Cynthia

hey bonnie! yes, send me information. i got some stuff from you and have actually forwarded it on to miriam joy from AZ. she's supposed to be out here for our festival so i suggested that she take in the illinois fest while she's here - she could both teach and vend. i think her husband may be having hip surgery, so she's not positive she'll make it, but maybe. i'm sure you're in AZ by now - i had to cancel my trip this year due to health issues, but will be there again next year...this is the first time i've missed it and feel bad!! enjoy!
