My sister got me interested. She's a member of the Gourd Patch near Benson, AZ. She took me to a meeting of that group & we saw gourds displayed at Tubac, AZ. Beautiful! I've just played around with a basic wood burner and markers. Would like to learn how to carve, paint, stain, etc.

Hello Sue,

I think any solder would work on gourd shards. Denise Henderson is really the one to ask. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Sue:

I am in Windsor and am also a gourd novice.  Having checked out Bonnie Gibson's site, I have tried my hand using information contained in her tutorials.  Found that I really have a lot to learn!  I am currently on the waiting list for her visit to Colorado Springs in June.

Would love to meet you and view some of your pieces!
