Thanks sue, I have a ball bur but small and it was taking so long. I am about 70 miles north of Dallas. I have met the Clausens in whitewright and bought gourds from them. They have invited me to a meeting they are having at their house in September. Someone will be teaching about luminaries and I would love that.

I liked that look. I don't do a lot of different finishes. A finish like this might work on a gourd that has been carved. Many times my carving leaves a small area on the outside of the design carved and the rest of the gourd natural. I've use acrylics to finish this but will try paper. Thanks
