What is happing with this gourd?

"  So no one else has seen it as a new and different way to cure a gourd.  The cure method Juan mentioned is the only other way I've heard of, it is pretty similar to the Hawaiian coffee and the Japanese water method.   What…"

Huh? Okay, that sounds dumb, but it's like infinity--my interest continues and doesn't have an end.

Hay Sandra, It was great to meet you, sorry I couldn't talk more on Sunday but I had to go soak up as much info as I could while in Bonnie's class. You need to be writing up your great ideas and either selling tutorials or sharing them with TGS or AGS to publishish. (Just got a request from AGS) I will be trying the glass rod lamp soon. Need to recover from my show debt and then try the lamp....like I said I thought I needed to try one and now I have a real new media to try along with it. Thank you for sharing and for the great piece of glass!

Hi, Sandra,

Thanks for the help.  Bonnie Adams directed me to a video that Darlene Propp had placed on her facebook page.  It was about beading a luminary gourd! Wow.  Where would I get glass rods?  I am a veteran beadweaver, so I'm familiar with the bead companies - mostly.  But, I know next to nothing about glass rods.

I'm definitely gonna have to try your glass technique out! Soon as I finish the 2 gourds sitting here I've yet to finish! I'm such a procrastinator. Hahaha

Sandra, saw your chat session.  There is a patch in Austin, the Capitol of Texas Patch.  Suzanne Haffey is the leader.  Go to www.texasgourdsociety.org and check the patches link.  You will find her email address.  They have a very active patch.
