I have been growing my passion for gourd art for 10 years now. I like to create unique gourds inspired by nature. Also delving in to jewelry and creating unusual pieces of art jewelry from gourd shards. Find me at gooseberrylane.org
Nancy, love your owls and other works. I just started making some "folk art" looking barn owls myself and then I see yours. I'm going to mark yours as favorites because you have really caught/made them perfect (not to copy them just enjoy them). We have 17 different North American owls I believe, love to study subjects before I work on them., many different types and shapes to "play" with.
I've made saltbox house pins and log cabin also, love your windows!
I have started a Kansas Gourders page. Please join us. Just go to "Groups" and join. I am hoping to get some Kansas gourders interested in sharing ideas and information. Hope to see you in the new Kansas Gourders group. Rhonda
Thank you, Nancy. So far I've only sold to friends and family and word of mouth. I do have a few at the Oz Winery in Wamego--they are friends and I made a few special ones for them. I've sent a number of gourds to places back east via my sister, but have yet to do much here in KS. I hope someday, you and Cheryl and I can arrange to meet sometime soon. Rhonda
