"Yep Leslie, that paper coil is kind of unravel on you.  Sometimes you do have to roll it tight .... but not so tight it reduces the size ... and it for a few inches.  That should solve the problem.  You will still have this issue…"

"Leslie, the large paper rush (5/32" or 6/32") is harder to work with.  Try using the smaller size and you will have better results.  I use #3 which is tiny but it much easier to work with.   4/32" is a little…"

"Your closed coiling is wonderful.  Can't tell where you stopped - great job.  Don't see anything wrong with your chip carving and since you said "don't look"  I looked very closely.  :>)"

HI Leslie,

You were wondering about the banyan tree and what wasn't gourd.  The vines on the tree are made of piping like you would sew on the edge of a cushion.  I dipped them in powertex and placed them on the tree.  It worked great!  Thanks for all of the compliments.  Phyllis

Leslie,

I noticed you sell on Etsy. Do you have any luck selling your gourds there? I am looking for alternatives other than craft fairs. I have tried Yessy & Ebay, but no luck.

Hi Leslie, Thank you so much for the kind words. It means more than you know. Lucas is an awesome man and believe it or not, he now has a wonderful woman in his life that knows his history and is so so patient and kind. Where it will lead is anyone's guess. I can't think that far ahead. I do hope you have been fortunate in your own life as well as your families. mg
