"Great figure. I actually know a guy who looks like this! Not due to the clothes, of course, but certainly the facial hair and cocky attitude. I showed this picture to a friend who also knows the man in question, and she knew right…"
Kathryn - Have you tried QuikWood? I prefer it over Apoxie Sculpt myself. You have to work faster because it dries completely within 15-20 minutes, but work in layers at a time and its great! It dries smoother than Apoxie and is not as sticky, to me. I know Bonni G,'s site carries it, as does Home Depot(but not Lowes). Oh, it takes paint well too, and of course no baking or glueing required. Check out member: Peggy Ash for more info on this; she taught me in the first place!
There are a few of us from this site who also paint on cypress knees now. Check out member Lola Stude and Linda Ralph. I don't think they have a cypress knee on this site but they could send you a photo of their work on them! Lola does a LOT!! The best ebay shop to get them is bayoubeautiful; you can then start getting them directly from them if you wish. Let me know what you do in the future! On gourds too(ha-ha)!! - Christine Pace
