Hi Kathleen...(my moms name was Kathleen) ( Elizabeth) I used to live in Atl.( 41 yrs.) and have been to the falls many times and even walked a portion of the trail from there. I once gave a ride down to the interstate to a fellow who was just finishing the trip from the north end.He was a teacher from Michigan and was hitching rides home. Hoooeee he smelled awful but I was happy to help him and am still in awe of his achievement. God, how I would like to go with you!!!! Oh well,I know you will have fun.        be careless!!!!!    Paul

Hi Kathleen........I'm new and searching for someone in my area to compare notes/ ideas with and maybe hang out too( not romantically) and you're the closest I've found so far.  I guess you know David and Ronna at Turtle Feathers. I get most of my supplies from them. Nice folks. Do you know of anyone closer to me who does gourds? I live in the Landrum sc area.   Paul

thanks, yes, ther are two big shows here annually, the Hot Tamale Fiesta, and our Choctaw-Apache Powow. Tamales were originally a native american food, they are made locally, by a few residents and made the old native american way with no chili powder. in fact there is a tamale plant here that ships to store all over the country if you look in the frozen food section, they are usually for sale there. Zwolle Tamales, I have a daughter that lives in Richmond ,Va. and they are for sale there. Also, I bought book recently about dragons.  Dracopedia. I bought it from Edward R, Hamilton Bookseller Co.  they do not have a internet connection, you have to buy from their catalogue, but, they are cheap in comparison to other companies. I paid $7.95 for this book and it is great. It lists  for $26.99. I did not know there where so many kinds of dragons. amazing what you can learn. If you want the address I will send it to you.I know, I love this G.A. E. , I have made several good friends . Mary

Thanks Kathleen,  for comment on my gourd. green scraping a design and filling the gourd with coffee is an interesting, uncontrollable and surprising technique.
