I’m personally inviting you to the Louisiana Gourd Society’s 1st Annual Show that will be held April 19-20, 2013 at the Claiborne Parish Fairgrounds located at 1563 Fairgrounds Drive in Haynesville, LA.

I am so very sorry you lost your gourd art.I know I would have cried. i always hate to sell mine, or sometimes when I give one away it is like losing a friend. That sounds ridiculous I know. But, you spend so much time on them, Hve you grown any of your own gourd? one year I grew a lot of them but, this year so far they have not done anything. hi, went to Lafayette saw the Dr. everything good. Guess what the Museum you told me about burnt down about a month ago.But, I got the name of a lady that lives in Sunset,Margaret Brinkhouse. She has a shop there and paints gourds. I called her but, she was on her way to a funeral this morning when I was coing back. I told her about looking up this site on line. Have you ever heard of her? I will probably go back to Lafayette next month, as my great granddaughter will be one yaer old. You do some very pretty work. Thank you Karen, Maranka gourds facinate me with their different ridges and this one cried out to me Klingon. I have to study the maranka gourd for half an hour or so to see what it says to me what it wants to be. I love your crown of thorns they are fascinating too.
Hi, Karen, I live in northern part of La. but, I go to Lafayette pretty regular, as my daughter lives there. The pictures of your goudrs look fabulous. I will have to see about getting some pictures of my work on line. I love painting and working with them. I would love to meet with you. I am in the process of opening up a studio, now.
