hi, i am anxious to see her work, your phone number did not come through, if that is what you were trying to do. My other daughter is here right now on some family business so, I was not able to do the pictures. Will try to get it done as soon as possible. My tele number is 318/645/2464, also e/mail address is indianhorses12@yahoo.com. It is so blooming hot, have not really accomplished much lately. Have you grown any of your own gourds? I have some planted and they are just now doing something. I have planted them in the past and had good luck with them, but, not this year. Hope to talk to you soon, Mary Martinez

hi, went to Lafayette saw the Dr. everything good. Guess what the Museum you told me about burnt down about a month ago. But, I got the name of a lady that lives in Sunset,Margaret Brinkhouse. She has a shop there and paints gourds. I called her but, she was on her way to a funeral this morning when I was coing back. I told her about looking up this site on line. Have you ever heard of her? I will probably go back to Lafayette next month, as my great granddaughter will be one yaer old. You do some very pretty work. Hope to talk to you later, and hope you are feeling a lot better. Mary

Thank you Karen, Maranka gourds facinate me with their different ridges and this one cried out to me Klingon. I have to study the maranka gourd for half an hour or so to see what it says to me what it wants to be. I love your crown of thorns they are fascinating too.

Hi, Karen, I live in northern part of La. but, I go to Lafayette pretty regular, as my daughter lives there. The pictures of your goudrs look fabulous. I will have to see about getting some pictures of my work on line. I love painting and working with them. I would love to meet with you. I am in the process of opening up a studio, now. Have the building, but it has been so terribly hot that is about as far as I have gotten. Mary Martinez
