"I didn't do anything special to dry the gourd just left it sit.  I think I would let the gourd sit for a couple days to scar over before filling with coffee.   I didn't but will the next time."

"Yes you scrape the background and somewhat clean out the inside.  It doesn't have to be terribly clean and in fact it doesn't have to be cleaned at all.  I filled mine with strong coffee and let it sit for about 6 weeks.  It…"

"I have tried the hawaiian method and where you scrape the gourd, it will start to dry and be sealed.  You leave the green skin on where you want your design.  After filling with coffee, it will leach through to the portion with the skin…"

Hi there Judith!!  Hope you are having a wonderful year.  Was just thinking about gourding and wondering what my neighboring gourders may be doing.  I have not been working with them for awhile and am just really feeling like getting back into it.      Well... just wanted to say hi there.
