"I am fairly new to all of this. I have had trouble getting acrylic ink to cover certain spots on a gourd. I have washed and lightly sanded the gourd before using a cotton round to apply the ink. I end up with "bald spots" on the gourd in…"

"I have never used any primer when using Memories inks or acrylic paints & I mostly use a brush-on varnish to seal it. I have never had a problem as long as the inks or paint is dry. Be sure that the Memories Inks are heat set."

"Joan I recently painted my white Asian Cranes on a gourd over dyes, either alcohol or leather, and both bled thru even when sealed over with gloss. Had to paint the cranes three times. I will never paint over dyes with acrylics again...lol. They…"
