"Great idea for watering. I've tried burying water bottles but I think this is a better idea. Good luck with your growing."

"Sounds like a great idea. I have a bunch of plants growing but haven't gotten a super water system in. Next year I'll plant different....learning what I can:-) "

"That is a piece of four inch PVC pipe 12 inches long filled with rock.  The drip system tube feeds into it.  It has holes drilled in it to let the water out below ground.  Waters better without a bunch of runoff."

"Yes, but I don't use any of my own seed to plant.  The cross won't show up until next year so no problem with these gourds.  Get new seed every year from Quarry Farms.  Always had good luck with their seed."

"Thanks Helen.  Yes, the boxes provide a bit of shade while the plants get rooted and the also keep the crows from pulling the plants up when the try to get at the water from the drip system."

"I've been trying to figure out what is going on in your pictures. There must be plants under the boxes. If so good luck with your gardening!"
