I have recently taken some classes from Bonnie Gibson, and am interested in becoming more involved in Gourd art.
Hay, Feb. is too far away for me to make plans and you have to make plans for Weutrz early...esp. if you want to take classes. I am ready to get my shop done but it's still going to be awhile before it's ready. I don't see your work as a beginner or Notice even though you haven't gotten really much time into your craft.....and I mean craft as a good thing not crafty. Keep up the good work and if I get to go to the show I'll be looking you up.
Hay,Your work sure is getting better and better, even your 1st pieces were great. Tee and I are working away on trying to get my 3 rooms done in the horse barn, tack room, wine room and my studio. They should be pretty darn nice when we get it done but it's a lot of work.....then I can get back to gourd art. Bet it's been cold up your way.
WOW! I should have known... you are SO talented! I am taking an all day class, too.(Thursday) .but I sure will make a point to try to get to Bonnie's before the end of the day!! Looking forward to meeting you. Have a wonderful day and week!
OH, that's great.. I would like to learn that Sunday coiling, but I'll be home by then. You will love Bonnie's class. I can take it at her home in Tucson so I didn't try to take it at Wuertz. I also wanted to take one of the Sat classes, but decided not to. Thurs and Fri enough. Sat will look at the vendors and judged gourds. Looking forward to seeing yours. Good luck on your entry!
Hi Jenn... I lucked out and am taking the class from Vickie that has the antler with it! At least I will get a good idea HOW to do it. She is a good teacher and has wonderful pineneedles and I am looking forward to her class. Hope to see you in Wuertz come Feb. Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Amy
