Upon retirement from my career in public education, I began to explore the variety of textures and colors that this medium provides for an artist. Heavily influenced by my travels to North and South America’s indigenous cultures my early works strongly reflected a connection with the earth incorporating found objects such as feathers, stones, shells and bark. This early influence and love of nature set the stage for the work that you see today. I attempt o manipulate colors and textures creating organic vessels that reflect the fundamentals of nature.
Jeff thank you for you kind words about my lamp. I love working with gourds and creating things that make me smile. I really enjoy this site and everyones work. Jeff, I do have some photos posted. I think if you add me as a friend it will give you access to my page. I'm still learning but I think if you do a search for Clinton R. Waters it will take you to my page. Click on photo and I think it will work. I don't have much to look at as I am a long time rookie. Looking forward to see your work.
