Annette Cable Nicholson said… I have had a few folks wonder how Iwill get My gourds out of the tree,,my granddaughters have said that will not be a problem;) girl power!!.....I plan on letting my girls sell gourds at 127 yard sales again,,,I feel it teaches them about working for your money they help harvest and clean them
Annette Cable Nicholson said… You are a very talented artist,,,,so you use long pine needles...I led my vines up into my pine tree this year,,,I will not do this again because I luv my tree but just wanted to see gourds growing from a tree,, the effect is great,,,the pictures dont do justice to real life,,, I grew all these inside five gallon buckets with the bottom completely knocked out,,,I have more control over the water and less problems with cut worms,,,just loosen up the dirt under where you are going to set the bucket,,this is perfect for folks with small yard. My friend took my advice and sent her vines up a rose trelles and used twine from second story window to grow up the side of her house,,,it was awsome.
