I enjoy decorating gourds also, always looking for new ideas, and suggestions. I am getting Rhuematoid Arthritis in my hands, and I want to beable to work on gourds as long as I still can. Cutting them out and woodburning reall hurts, but I keep going as long as I can. I love all of your work. I have taken classes from Bonnie Gibson and Marianne Barnes. Love every minute of it.
No, haven't been to Cherokee. Going to the Indiana gourd show in Apr. Never shown before. Should be an experience! We go to West Liberty alot when I come up there. Go to alot of your local events! I am growing gourds this year myself. We have excellent ground here. But the Zanesfield gourds have been really good. Pat Kelly is my sis-in-law up there, used to work at the Zanesfield Post Office, English woman. I lived there for a few years, in the Betty Zane Powder house near " downtown" Zanesfield. This past spring I did the painting in the Moreland Funeral home on 68. May get up there one of these days!
Hi Georgia, thanks for the "friend" offer. I love this web site. So many wonderful talented people who help and encourage each other. I'm sorry for your RA problems. I envy you the classes you've been able to take from some of the best here. I hope to do that one day.
Georgia, the gift idea is just a fun way to recognize someone on the group. There are some that are free. You can check online at Dover Publishing for some copyright free pictures. If you subscribe, they send you samples on a regular basis.
Welcome, Georgia. We’re glad you’re here. There are many activities and discussions in which you may want to participate. Look around and join in. Add some
photos of your own. And have fun! The
GAE rules are located on the right side of the main page. Darlene
Welcome Georgia. We have an "Ohio Group" here on GAE. You don't need to belong to the Ohio Gourd Society to be a member here. You can click on the "groups" tab at the top of the page, then locate Ohio on the groups page and join. We need all the buckeyes to stand up and be counted on here. ;} Enjoy the site, there's lots to see and info to read.-Stay warm-Kim
