"I just found this group discussion while looking at GAE.  Do you still live in Frederick?  I live just across I-25, east of Erie and have been gourding for 5 years, almost daily.  Would love to meet you if you're still gourding…"

"Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.  I made one before this with traditional geranium leaf colors in green with a little red and yellow.  Jana, I dyed the gourd with a Rust color, I think."

"Your filigree is so delicate.  Did you paint it or is that the color of your gourd.  Very nice piece"

Hi, Gail, I'm not allowed to talk about selling on this site, so if you'll sent me a private email, I'll send you my sanding mop information. My email is cabinmade17@frontiernet.net  Thanks for asking!

Hi Gail,

It's not Dremel or rotary  bits, but drill bits - you can usually buy a set of them from 1/16 inch  and up at your your local hardware store. Smaller drill bits are available from Dremel. Check out:

Hope this helps,

Suzi

BTW I love your sea turtles.

Welcome to Gourd Art Enthusiasts. I have been a member for almost a year and have found it to be a well managed site. Those in charge seem to do a great job.  The photos are so inspiring and the communication is great.  I do mostly woodburning but enjoy carving and plan to explore other media.  My wife and I are retired school teachers and are happy to have time to pursue our crafts.  Once again welcome.

Welcome,  Gail. We’re glad you’re here. There are many  activities and discussions in which you may want to participate.  Look around and join in.  Add some  photos of your own. And have fun!  The  GAE rules are located on the right side of the main page.   Darlene
