Hello Catie,
Thanks for befriending me! I just love this place, so many new ideas to drool over:)) and so many new friends to make all over the world. I had a look at your pics and I really like the cutout.
I live in Africa, Namibia, Windhoek, which at the moment receives toooo much rain, but good for the gourds.

I'd love to see a photo when you finish the gourd.  I know there must be a lot of similar looking things in nature that can be used.

Hi Este, Sorry I didn't get your message before now.  Hope you are well.  Waiting to hear back from you.  Your photos are beautiful.  You have come a long way since we first met.  Love the lady dolls and so much more.  Good Job!!! Maria

Thank you Este for your kind words :)

Yes, I use colored and transparent beads. They give colors when you put the light on.

Este, I have been on this site for over a year, and I still make mistakes, but thats how we learn.  Still not certain on some things, but it will come. I looked again at your photos and there is some really nice work going on.  Do you grow your own gourds over there?  Where do your supplies come from?  Take care.

Thanks you so much!  I have so much to learn but I really do love to try my hand at the wildlife.  You probably saw my new one with my first attempt at leather tooling. Kind of did my own version and I really need more practice!  LOL

I like your gourds too. Especially the lion.
