Assorted fish minnow Pail Lamp has 4 different types of fish hanging from the shade and cattails in between the fish. All fish and cut out cattails are from gourd pieces. The bobber is out of a wood ball.

My Wolf lamp is made from cut out gourd pieces and cut out wolf tracks. The base of the gourd is carves with cut out spaces for the light to show through.

This piece is my version of a Norwegian Ale Bowl. My nationality is Norwegian and ale bowls are used in Norway at weddings and important ceremonies.

I will definitely look you up. I still check the news in the Baxter Bulletin. Really wanted to retire in Mountain Home area. Sadly my husbands arthritis couldn't handle the cold winters. Your home sounds like , " My cup of Tea"..

Thank you, Diane. I'm still learning and experimenting. I did take one of Bonnie Gibson's workshops so that really helped. I just had a dremel to begin with, but then I bought a micro carver and I LOVE it. I use a variety of bits--all were bought from Bonnie . She has some great tutorials on carving too. The Burl-look gourds I'm playing with now, I just use my gourd saw to get a ragged hole and then use a carbide burr to get the shell off at random levels and angles--it's very "free wheeling". :) . Rhonda
