I love to create new designs, meet other gourd lovers, and get feedback on my work.
I will definitely look you up. I still check the news in the Baxter Bulletin. Really wanted to retire in Mountain Home area. Sadly my husbands arthritis couldn't handle the cold winters. Your home sounds like , " My cup of Tea"..
Thank you, Diane. I'm still learning and experimenting. I did take one of Bonnie Gibson's workshops so that really helped. I just had a dremel to begin with, but then I bought a micro carver and I LOVE it. I use a variety of bits--all were bought from Bonnie . She has some great tutorials on carving too. The Burl-look gourds I'm playing with now, I just use my gourd saw to get a ragged hole and then use a carbide burr to get the shell off at random levels and angles--it's very "free wheeling". :) . Hay Diane, Isn't it way cool just how different everyone's work is! I really like seeing folks work from different parts of the world....which this great site does for us. I really like your deer piece....and also the deer mask:-)
