Hello!!!!!!!!!!!My gourd is in fall, gourd made of dried up later. Gourd skin has a characteristic, is to use the hard tool hard pressure, there will be a trace. I just take advantage of this, the pressure pattern on it. Tools with agate or steel bar can be. Shape is similar to eat with a spoon. You can have a try, don't know what I say, did you understand, ha ha, don't understand the question, can ask me. I didn't take it wrong. I have had some people tell me at a show that I am a flagrant rule violator! lol It's just kinda funny some people get wrapped up in rules. That's why I didn't go to art school!
