- My name is Claudia Wesleythornburg. I'm interested in joining because I enjoy doing art work.I started working on gourds about 6 years ago. Not as much as I would like, but joining this group hopfully will change that. I've been watching GAE from the beginning and love looking at all the gourd creations. I joined Ebay a few years ago and have enjoyed making new and wonderful friends there. My user ID is dreamingcrafty. You can find more about me and my work on my ME page. Tina Hopkins said… I've been growing my own gourds for the last couple of years. My biggest problem is figuring out what to make them into when they are dry. I think I I have finally gathered all the tools I need. I'm still working in my house but this summer my husband is going to build a studio. It is nice to have married a man that is a contractor. He retired 3 years ago and I'm getting a lot of things done that I've been needing for a long time. I live about 2 mile off the Flatwoods exit of 79. Your painting is wonderful. I can't paint animals and people. I do custom gourds and slate for customers and I tell them I don't do people.
