Lady Bug Tea Pot

I used 3 gourds to assemble this. Painted with acrylic Rooster Red an sponged on a mix of gold an red. Apoxie Sculpt for the leaves an Lady Bugs. This Tea Pot is lighted from the bottom. Makes a good night light with designs on the wall.

I taught three classes at the Wuertz Festival.  It is probably my only trip to their festival.  It was 4500 miles round trip.

The Castle Valley Gourd Festival is on Saturday October 20 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. I will post an announcement with more detail soon. We'd welcome gourd artists to come and show/sell their gourd art!

Thanks Christine.  I do enjoy the carving and detail work!  The detail work can be a drawback because of the amount of time put into a piece and what you can sell them for.  I will say that it is a fun hobby.

I took a very enjoyable wander through your photos. Thank you for adding me as your friend.  You have done some very exciting pieces. I especially liked the giraffe and the one sideways fish on the water.  Very clever!!!   Heather
