SE Ohio Gourd Patch meeting 7/30/11

Thank you, Carrie Rogers, for a wonderful demo of your special faux finish this past Saturday (7/30/11) at the SE Ohio Gourd Patch meeting. Five gourd artists attended and we talked gourds, answered questions and shared ideas. We took a walk around my gourd patch and checked out my 47 inch extra long handled dipper! Next meeting will be even more exciting!

Gourd Dust Allergy - NOT ME! yes, me.

Ah, I have been bitten by the gourd dust allergy bug. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful information I've perused in our Forum section. I'm looking into vacuum devices. Found the site www.woodcraft.com which has some interesting options. Off to buy new cannisters for my dust mask. Working outside on the porch with very little breeze did not make sanding safe for me. Ugh.

Thanks for turning me on to this site.  Now all I have to do is figure out how to get around it.  I am rather technologically challenged.

Weelllll, of course you got credit. That's how its supposed to be, isn't it? You are partly responsible for my getting in publications this year and next, and I appreciate all you have done! 2012 is going to better than ever! Thanks for your friendship, Celia!

Hay Celia, Doesn't Ohio have a big festival? I have my eyes always on going back to the Arizona show....it is so big with thousands of people attending....snowbirds...staying in the area during the winter...guess you would be a snowbird:-) I love the curled hooks on the top of your ornaments, do you make those? If so what gauge wire do you use?
