Hi Blanca!  It's good to have you for a friend in here!  :)  I wish I could grow gourds like yours - wow!  Mine got ate up with mealy bugs this year... :(

I asked you that because  sometimes this southern Illinois soil does not grow things

well.   I was wondering if you did anything special to get them to grow.  I have had to

replant also sometimes.

Hi Blanca... thank you for your compliment!  I still use Angelus leather dye.  Many people now have moved to gourd "ink dyes" but I've still got  stash of leather dye so I want to use it.  I just make sure I coat it well with a finish because they do fade otherwise.  Sometimes I use acrylic paint.  On one of my horse gourds I used colored pencils too!
