I got interested in gourds a little over a year ago and now they are my passion. They have opened the creative space in me that was dormant for a long time. I love learning new techniques to use on gourds and love looking at the beautiful work on this website. Every artist on here has a gift for gourd art.
I’m personally inviting you to the Louisiana Gourd Society’s 1st Annual Show that will be held April 19-20, 2013 at the Claiborne Parish Fairgrounds located at 1563 Fairgrounds Drive in Haynesville, LA.

Beth, thank you your comments. I use acrylic paints for the blues, oranges and yellow gourds and felt tip pens for my goose gourds, pencil for shading various gourds too. I have not tried any dyes yet...
