I got interested in gourds a little over a year ago and now they are my passion. They have opened the creative space in me that was dormant for a long time. Beth, thank you your comments. I use acrylic paints for the blues, oranges and yellow gourds and felt tip pens for my goose gourds, pencil for shading various gourds too. I have not tried any dyes yet...
Hi Beth, thanks for all the nice comments. Miss Minnie is an apple gourd, weighted inside with a small bushel or kettle as the bowl. I used epoxy clay to hold the two together and to hold the small gourds in place. Then I used paperclay to make the details. Just used acrylics for the colors. Jan
