"Andrea, I just found your page and am blown away with your gourds. Do I understand correctly that you did all that cutting out with a woodburner????? I never thought to do it that way. Lets talk about that! Wow i like your work."

"Wow, you do that with a woodburning tool? That's how you do such delicate carving! I use a small jigsaw, although the gourd in my profile pic was done completely by hand. Power tools are easier! - SerenaK"

"Hi, thanks. I use a wood burner for all of my gourds. I've recently bought a small roto tool that seems to work pretty well, but haven't done much with it yet."

You do really nice work. How did your northern gourds turn out. There is a gourd farm - Northern Dipper- here in Canada-north of Toronto and they sell very nice gourds

Andrea, I love your work! I sure hope I get to meet you and see your work in person. Any chance of visiting Washington State? The Northwest Gourd Festival is going to be so much fun!

hi andrea! so glad you're able to join us! your photos are terrific, of course - i look forward to seeing you at the olbrich festival - i'm pretty sure your class will be full! once you've had a chance to peruse these pages, click on the "Groups" tab up near the top and then go to the Wisconsin Gourd Society and join this group. there's a friendly competition going on here to see which society can get the most members in - we're in the running! hope this finds you well and able to do some art these cold winter days. i'll be in Arizona in february, but back in time to finish festival plans for april. see you then!
