Thank you all! His hair is just a part of the crown of thorns gourd used for the whole head. You have to find just the right one for a head. His nose, lips and chin are clay (Qwik-wood). His eyes are carved out with large pearls added. The eye color is stained glass paint on the pearls. He stands about 17" tall.

Being a doll lover, I absolutely LOVE this!!!!!  Fantastic work, I would love to see it in person. Is the hair, nose and lips gourd also? How big is he? ( he looks like he would be really big)  I can't express how much I like this!  :)

Yes, He's another 39 gourd doll. Mostly used Tenn Spinner gourds...and several others.
