I bought these at Wertz festival . What kind of dried pod or something are they? Maybe a varnished apple slice? I love them but need more. The vendor was selling carving tools he was from Tx.

I think they are bois d'arc slices.  Go to the Arlington Gourd Patch page for February and look at Jean's pine needle basket.  It has one of these in the center.

I bet that was the Holton's who the vendor was Barbie and Jimmie. I bet they have a web-site.

Thank you so much. When I bought them the vendor was busy so I had the correct change put it down  and did not get a chance to ask the name of them. I will check the pod lady.

I believe they are Hedge Apple Slices. You can get more of these from The Pod Lady (Betsey Sloan). www.thepodlady.com
