When I was visiting Wuertz I purchased one of the gourds his dad made with the electrical and recently in NM at the home & garden show there were 2 artists who used the burning on their pieces.  But yours is the best I've seen used with a pattern.  Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Paula. I bought one of the machines to do electric wood burning when I was at the gourd festival in Casa Grande. I haven't had really good luck with it, but my husband uses it on some of his wood working projects. I was told that gourds that are not as thick work better for that technique. I haven't experimented much with it as of yet.
