Ohio Gourd Society Patch 10 Replies

Hello Ohio Gourd Society Members! Does anyone know if the patch (the kind you sew on a jacket) that is our logo for OH actually exists? Or where I could get a jpg of it? I'd like to make a nametag…Continue

Well I've just discovered that I missed the 2012 show by a couple of weeks - boo!! lol!! I didn't even know there WAS an Ohio Gourd Society! But better late then never - I'll look forward to NEXT year. :)

I was wondering...when does the schedule for the 2012 OGS show come out? I know the theme is 50 years of gourds.....just wondering what the theme categories are...want to get started on my pieces ASAP

I taught apoxie sculpt clay classes at the show this year and really enjoyed the folks that took it. It was nice putting faces to names of my fellow GAE members too. There were fewer vendors this year...but with rising travel costs that is becoming an issue for most events. The people who work hard to put it all together deserve a pat on the back.

Hello!  This is Bruce Barber OGS Show Chair. Our Show runs on Saturday, 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm. Friday is for workshops and set up. We do have some sales allowed on Friday, but in no way are our vendors all in place until LATE Friday Night or Saturday Morning. Sory if you were told otherwise. We had 10 outside vendors and over 30 inside vendors. It was down a little from last year but we had a great Show! Hope to see you on Saturday next year.

I agree, I stopped at the gourd show Friday evening on my way to tipp city. there was only two gourd sales people outside and not much to pick from. I went inside to buy supplies and there wasn't anything to buy except a couple of things from CC. I hope things were better on Sat. and Sun. There were several ladies down stairs taking classes. I wish I could have taken classes, but I didn't have time.

Did we attend the same show?  There were hardly any venders there. And the ones inside brought very little of what they normally do. The class I took of Jane Weller was great. Made up for the rest of it.
