Hello! I'm a young artist from Trinity NC looking for good venues to show my gourd art. Just reading a little has given me some great insight! Glad to be a part of this group.

This was the first time I had a chance to go to the NC Gourd show it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed seeing all the gourd work.

Hi Shelly,
Glad the Tennessee show was worth the travelling. Doing all that alone was quite a job.

Great seeing you at the Indiana Gourd Show. I am researching carrying your book as part of my gourd sales for the next batch of shows coming up in the next few weeks. Tennessee turned out to be a successful show for me and the ladies were very charming to me and and my business. Shelly

Did you know the Angier, NC gourd Museum was moved moved to the Angier town hall?
Here is a link to the Tar Heel Traveler story about Marvin Johnson's gourds at the town hall.

Unfortunately, I don't live near any chapters of the NCGS, but I hope to make it to the festival in Raleigh in September. I need to mail in my membership info. and dues this week. I look forward to getting the newsletters.

The NCGS Spring Newsletter was superb. The suggestions for the September show are good ones and I hope many of the members will pick up on them and contribute their talents and knowledge to making the 2010 show even better than 2009.
