Hey, everyone we have a lot of new classes available on the North Carolina  website for our annual gourd festival for Sept 10 & 11 come a join the fun.

The North Carolina Gourd Society will be celebrating their 70th Annual Festival this year on September 10 & 11.  In honor of this fabulous milestone the entrance fees have been drastically reduced.  

Member of NCGS:  FREE

Students taking a class during the festival:  FREE

New members signing up at the door: FREE

Children under 16: FREE

Adults and Seniors: $2  (previously $4 & $3)

New teachers teaching new classes and techniques. 

Live auction on Saturday at noon.

 

The theme this year:  "Fall Into Gourds"...get your pieces ready!

I Cara I having been doing gourd art for 5 years

I teach art for the NC Gourd Society in Winston at the Dixie Fair Grouds.  Come a join us if you can we will be meeting on the 17th of May at 6:30

We'd love to see everybody at our chapter events.

March 19: The spring meeting of the North Carolina Gourd Society will be 1:30-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in the first floor auditorium of the Durham Main Library located at 300 N. Roxboro St. in Durham, NC.

This is our annual seed sharing meeting. Free seeds! Bring your seeds to swap too. Also, Sherry Briscoe will teach us the basics of one-stroke painting.

April 02: GOURD DAY at the NC FARMERS' MARKET in RALEIGH Located off the Lake Wheeler Road exit of I-40 in Raleigh. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will be set up with growers and crafters showing and selling their wares to the public. Come out and meet us and learn all about our favorite vegetable.

April 30: TRIAD GOURD DAY at the PIEDMONT FARMERS' MARKET Located off Sandy Ridge Rd. near Greensboro (just off I-40), we plan to be there from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. Eager gourd crafters and suppliers will have both raw and crafted gourds for sale and would love to meet you and introduce you to our hobby.

This was the first time I had a chance to go to the NC Gourd show it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed seeing all the gourd work.

Great seeing you at the Indiana Gourd Show. I am researching carrying your book as part of my gourd sales for the next batch of shows coming up in the next few weeks. Tennessee turned out to be a successful show for me and the ladies were very charming to me and and my business. Shelly
