Thank you Jan. Have it all ready to stick in the mail tomorrow.

In the "size matters' category it says any technique or design and has to be either 20" tall or wide. Does adding a low base and pine needle coiling at the top count? Or does the gourd itself have to be 20". I went ahead and entered that category, but it's the additions to the gourd that will make it 20" tall.

Hi Sandra,  Here's the info for mailing the art competition forms.  They go to: Ann Reilly, 1601 Pennsylvania St. NE B7, Albuquerque, NM 87110 or contact at 505-884-5433, sculptured4glassart@yahoo.com  You can find the forms on the NMGS website, http://www.newmexicogourdsociety.org Go to the Festival tab then art competition.  Hope this helps.

Hey Darryle. Just sent an email, but backing it up here........LOL

Do we send the gourd entry forms to the same address that is on the membership application?

I've had these ready, but can't seem to find a specific address for the entry forms.......then I space it off and work on gourds and days go by.

The instructor list is being finalized. Check the website newmexicogourdsociety.org after Nov 1 it should be complete by then. Hope you get to come it's lots of fun & Please enter our art competition - also on the website

well, I've been meaning to join NMGS ( based in Alb) for some time now.....definately have to join here too : -). Actually I grew up in Albuquerque, but have lived east of the mountain for 22 years now. I've been quietly gourding for at least 10 years. Glad you started this group. I have yet to go to gourd show in Albuq, but plan to be there this coming Feb.......if I don't get snowed in............LOL
I only heard about the shows in Albuq last year. Any idea who will be teaching and what will they be teaching?
