Hi,
I am out here in Alberta, and presume there aren't many fellow 'gourders' around. I did get the the festival at Casa Grande in Feb. and saw so many beautiful works of art. I took two classes, but they were crowded and somewhat hurried, so not very satisfying. I wish there was something closer to home where I could learn some techniques from a pro and not have to be trying to learn from the internet and books. I still have fun and usually end up making a bowl! I stocked up on gourds, so have plenty to work with. It's always fun.

Thus far, I figure replacing the soil entirely will be my best option. Or just trying to grow them in my living room, hah. I always wanted to turn my house into a jungle...
