Kate, I'm so glad you liked the masks. I had fun doing them & yes, photos don't do them justice. I'm amxious about seeing Blue Bayou.

Nedra: I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to Evangeline and Angelique, the two masks you've created for the event- they are absolutely fantastic and so impressive when you see them actually exhibited as you had them at the Wuertz Festival. I loved seeing them!

You will crack up when you see "Blue Bayou". I did it as a Cajun Mardi Gras mask- not as elegant as yours- but part of my culture.

Kate, & Hellen, I am getting really hyped up about this. Kate, I have my fingers crossed that you are going to win that Razertip burning kit.

This is the Louisiana Gourd Society's FIRST official Gourd Festival. I hope everyone that can attend will come to support them. Kate has poured her heart & soul into making this a GREAT festival.

We are still in Arizona but leaving in 2 weeks (OR LESS). Not much time in between arriving home in NM before we leave for Louisiana so have I gotten prepared for it..HA!

I've signed up to take your woodburning class Hellen! Can't wait for the show--I'll be able to create all kinds of new gourd art with techniques learned in your class with the Razortip kit I'll probably win!!
